Board Certified Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon, Dr. Michael W. Kessler has safely performed tens of thousands of surgeries over the past 20 years.
Dr. Kessler is committed to providing the best, most advanced and comfortable oral surgery care. He keeps up to date on cutting edge technology and enhances his skills by attending courses with some of the country’s leading oral and maxillofacial surgeons.
Dr. Kessler practices a full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery with expertise ranging from dental implant surgery and all associated bone grafting, general anesthesia, wisdom tooth removal, tumor and cyst treatment, biopsies and jaw fracture treatment using the industry’s most advanced equipment.

Education & Experience
Dr. Kessler completed 13 years of post-high school education and rigorous training to bring you the highest level of expertise.
He became interested in oral surgery while studying biology at Denison University in Granville, Ohio.
Dr. Kessler graduated with a B.S. in Biology in 1988 and then graduated with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry in 1992.
Dr. Kessler completed a one year General Practice Residency (GPR) at The University of Florida Health Science Center and was then accepted into The University of Florida Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency program upon completion of the GPR.
Dr. Kessler completed a 4-year hospital-based residency program at Shands Hospital-Jacksonville and Shands Hospital-Gainesville.
He received intensive surgical training at the Level One Trauma Center where they received the most serious and complex trauma patients.
His rotations included Pulmonology, Cardiology, Surgical Critical Care, General Surgery, Internal Medicine, ENT as well as extensive training in Anesthesiology and Maxillofacial Trauma.
Dr. Kessler was Chief Resident of the Maxillofacial Residency Program in 1997.
Family
Dr. Kessler has been married to his wife, Heather, since 1999. They have a daughter and son.
Dr. Kessler was honored to receive the “Volunteer of the Year” award for his charity work at The Sulzbacher Center Dental Clinic.
